Stories have always accompanied humanity. Even before manuals, theories, and methods, it was narratives that gave meaning to the human experience: tales shared around the fire, myths passed down, words capable of evoking images when reality is difficult to name.

This collection arises from this ancient intuition: stories can support, open up spaces for understanding, and accompany processes of transformation.

The tales collected here are symbolic, inspired in part by the myth of Persephone, a figure who journeys through darkness and returns to the light. In her story, many women—and many people— recognize phases of their own lives: moments of loss, uncertainty, forced silence, but also the possibility of redeeming strength, voice, and direction.

The "Modern Persephones" are all the people going through a winter in their lives: women who have experienced abuse, oppressive relationships, trauma, profound changes, or periods of fragility. In these moments, direct words can be difficult. Pain, shame, or fear often do not easily find a way to be expressed.

The symbolic language of stories allows us to approach the experience in a safer and more delicate way.

For this reason, the stories in this collection are designed to serve as tools for support. They can be read individually, but also used in relational and healing settings.

In particular, they can support:

• Listening and support sessions with women facing difficult situations;
• Educational or therapeutic support sessions;
• Women Circles, circles of speaking and sharing;
• Moments of personal or group reflection.
